You are inducted into the Cult of the Blackaxe as a neophyte and you are deemed worthy to wield a Blackaxe. This is a great honor, and you are expected to defend this Training Blackaxe with your life. You recieve the following benefits.

Axe of the Neophyte. The next time you reach a port, you recieve a Training Blackaxe from the Ikons of Jakkar. The Training Blackaxe can never be replaced if it is lost or destroyed. You will be shunned by the Ikons until you recover a Training Blackaxe. It is taboo to modify a Blackaxe, but is not expressly forbidden.

Support of the Ikons. The Ikons of the Cult of the Blackaxe personally mentor your pursuit in mastering the Way of the Blackaxe. While you are in a town or city with a port and where there is a presence of the Cult of the Blackaxe or The Empire of the Three Kings, you may purchase items from an Ikon or one of their associates, according to the Neophyte of the Blackaxe table. You must be in possesion of a Lesser Blackaxe to do so.

Self-Sufficient. If you have proficiency with Tinker’s tools and access to appropriate materials, you may craft Ammunition or Items that you may normally purchase from the Ikons. This is done at half the material cost, but requires access to gunpowder and appropriate metals, along with some more specialized items for advanced munitions.

Break-Action Boomstick. :: The Training Blackaxe is a two-handed break-action martial firearm that deals 2d8 piercing damage and uses shells for ammunition. The Training Blackaxe has one barrel, giving it a magazine of 1. It may be fired once before reloading. As an action, you may reload the firearm. You may also reload the firearm using two bonus actions. It has a range of 85/180.
Hippo Sized.* The Training Blackaxe is extremely bulky. It requires a Strength score of 18 to use without disadvantage, but the hippo-like build of the Giff allows them to wield it with a Strength score of 13 without disadvantage. It uses the Strength modifier for attack and damage rolls.
Blackaxe. You may make a melee attack with proficiency using the Blackaxe to deal 1d10 slashing damage. The pole barrel gives this weapon reach.
Standard Issue. The Training Blackaxe is equipped with a sling, allowing you to draw or stow it as a free action.
